Tropical Mojito

- 10 Fresh Mint Leaves - 1/2 A Lime, Cut Into Wedges - 30 Grams Granulated Sugar (Plus Extra For Rimming) - 50 ml White Rum (Substitute for extra Soda Water or Coconut water if making a Mocktail) - 25 ml Orange Liqueur / Triple Sec (Or a splash of Fresh Orange Juice for those having a Mocktail) - 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice - 120 ml Soda Water - Ice Cubes - Mint Leaves And Lime Wedge For Garnish (Optional) - Cocktail Umbrella
Instructions:
- Moisten the rim of the tumbler with a lime wedge and dip it into sugar to create a sugar rim. If you have a glass rimmer then use this to get even coverage.
- In a mixing glass, add the mint leaves and 2 lime wedges. Use a muddler to gently press and release the mint oils and lime juice.
- Add 30 grams of sugar to the muddled mixture and muddle again to combine.
- In a cocktail shaker, fill it with ice cubes, then add the muddled mixture, white rum, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice. Shake well.
- Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the prepared tumbler filled with ice cubes, leaving some space at the top.
- Add 120 ml soda water to fill the glass.
- Garnish to taste, with mint leaves and a lime wedge, and insert a cocktail umbrella for a fun touch.
- Serve and Enjoy!
